Tear Trough Fillers is a minimally invasive procedure that works to rejuvenate the under-eye. This area can begin to look sunken and darken with age, or when weight is lost. We inject hyaluronic acid gel into the hollow under the eye which lifts and supports the area, resulting in a smoother and brighter look to the under-eye.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that naturally occurs in the human body, and dermal fillers of hyaluronic acid are considered a safe and effective treatment option to add volume to various areas of the face. Our bodies stop producing collagen and elastin over time, leading to hollow areas within the face, and replacing the loss of volume with hyaluronic acid allows us to look fresher and younger for longer, smoothing out lines and hydrating the skin.
The results are noticeable immediately, with the final results visible at approximately 2 weeks. Your skin requires time to smooth, relax and integrate with the surrounding tissue, achieving the optimum hydration balance.
Prices are from £495 for treatment performed by world-renowned Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Dr Ayad Harb.
The section between your lower eyelid and the upper cheek is commonly known as the tear trough.
This is a popular and effective treatment at Omniya Clinic to solve the concern of tired eyes, with dark circles present. The treatment involves injecting a hyaluronic acid gel-like substance (naturally occurring in your body) into specific areas around the eyes. The purpose of this treatment is to soften deep wrinkles and lines.
At Omniya Clinic, our expert practitioners use the specific brand and type of dermal filler that will be most suited to your face and concerns, based on your consultation. There is no one size fits all when it comes to cosmetic artistry. These fillers are, however, dissolvable.
As nature ages us, the area underneath the eyes (tear trough) become more prominent. This prominence can also cause dark circles and under-eye hollows, which make you look tired. Bags can also be further exposed, enhancing the tiredness look.
Benefits of tear trough fillers are tired-looking eyes, dark circles, eye bags, fine lines, wrinkles and loss of volume under the eye.
A full consultation will take place with one of your clinician to ensure that your expectations are understood, and any risks and side effects explained. Your practitioner will go through a plan with you and they’ll explain how best to administer your treatment, to ensure your concerns will be addressed.
After cleaning the treatment area, your clinician will assess and mark the area for precise treatment.
During treatment, your practitioner will inject small amounts of hyaluronic acid into the under-eye area, the depressed area running from the side of the nose below the eye and above the upper cheekbone. Through their expert careful placement of the injection, they will be able to lift and support the fragile skin around the under-eye, smoothing out the hollow giving an instantly fresher and contoured appearance.
Your clinician will massage the area to enable a smooth result.
You should avoid: Touching or applying make-up on the treated area after the treatment, drinking alcohol for 24 hours before the treatment, Aspirin for 7 days before your treatment, Ibuprofen for 2 days before your treatment. These treatment considerations will be provided to you at your consultation, and an aftercare form will be given to you.
You will likely notice results immediately, but allow 7-14 days for any minor side effects to wear off. The results should last up to 12 months. You will have a review with your clinician after 14 days and can discuss the results to ensure satisfaction.
