Nefertiti Neck Lift | Neck Botox

at Omniya Clinic in London

A neck lift, named after Egyptian Queen Nefertiti, the Nefertiti Neck Lift specifically targets the neck and jawline, using Botox for a rejuvenating and lifting effect.

The term ‘jowling’ or ‘jowls’ refers to flesh along the lower jaw, where the skin has begun to sag downwards, often sinking further than the jawline itself. This sagging gives the appearance of a loose skin either side of the mouth and below the cheeks. Whilst it had been considered difficult to treat without surgical intervention, with the expert team at Omniya Clinic, consisting of surgeons, doctors, dentists and nurses, neck lifts can be eliminated with a very simple in-house procedure called the Nefertiti Neck Lift, using Botox.

What is a Nefertiti neck lift?

It is a new technique, where multiple wrinkle injections are placed along the lower jawline, as well as the neck along the platysma muscles. By administering injections in specific areas, it is possible to improve jawline definition, rebalance underlying muscles, and lift the neck and jawline.

The Nerfertiti neck lift treatment covers the following:

  • Jawline definition
  • Sagging neck area
  • Neck wrinkles
  • Loose jowls
  • Tighten and pull sagging skin
  • Lifting the neckline
  • Rebalancing underlying muscles
  • Lifting the jawline

What results should you expect from a neck lift?

Anti-wrinkle treatments usually begin working within 1-3 days, with optimum results around 10-14 days. Your treatment ought to last for approximately 3-6 months. Most patients, expect to have a smoother appearance, and an improvement of the lines and superficial wrinkles. When the effects start wearing off, you will notice a gradual fading.

Neck lift FAQs

How does the treatment work?

Your practitioner will carefully inject calculated doses of Botox into the thin sheet of muscle around the neck which is constantly pulling the ageing skin downwards (the platysma). The strength of this muscle is weakened, and the muscles of the upper face perform a more natural facelift. Additionally, by filling the areas of fat atrophy around the jawline with dermal fillers, the jaw is straightened, and the jowls are reduced.

How many treatments would I need?

Results are typically obtained from a single treatment. However, to maintain the effect you ought to repeat the treatment approximately every 3-6 months.

When and what results can I expect to see?

Your results should be visible within 2-3 weeks, post treatment.

You will see a lift along the jawline and tauter skin on the neck.

Am I a good candidate for The Nefertiti Neck Lift?

The treatment is suitable for the majority of patients, subject to a consultation. However, it may not be suitable for patients who are:

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Diagnosed with certain health conditions like myasthenia gravis or Eaton-Lambert syndrome (or who have a family history of these conditions, which must be discussed during your consultation)
  • Have an infection
  • Taking medication that are not compatible with Botox

What are the potential side effects from a Botox treatment?

As a non-invasive solution to ageing skin, there is minimal downtime associated with this treatment. However, please discuss any impending events with your practitioner so that they may best advise you.

Botox treatments have a good safety profile, and are the most common cosmetic procedure. However, the treatment should only be performed by a trained and qualified medical professional.

As with most treatments, there are potential risks and side effects, which will be discussed at your consultation. These may include:

  • Immediately after treatment you may see some redness and swelling at the injection site.
  • Bruising or swelling at the injection site
  • Headache (temporary – 2-3 hours)
  • Tiredness
  • Visual disturbance
  • Eyes feeling dry
  • Pain in the arms or legs
  • Temporary drooping of the eyebrow or eyelid
  • Slight nausea
  • Skin rash
  • Itching or Allergic reactions
  • Dry mouth
  • Compensatory sweating elsewhere on your body (when treating hyperhidrosis)

If you feel any of these, or other symptoms, please call the clinic so that we can assist you.
