What is Morpheus8?

Morpheus8 is the name of the device that is used in this treatment. It combines radiofrequency technology and microneedling for fractional resurfacing, which will stimulate the production of collagen. The device will target your skin’s deeper layers, and so the building blocks will reorganise themselves in an anti-aging process that is natural. The dermis will experience little to no damage as a consequence, and the result is an effect that is extremely uniform.

The device itself has been revolutionary because it is the first and only full-body fractional technology for SARDS, which is subdermal adipose remodeling. There are a number of key benefits that are associated with this.

Areas we treat with Morpheus8

There are a number of different areas of the body that are going to benefit from this type of sub-dermal renewal. This is why a consultation is important, as everyone is different and your practitioner will be able to provide their recommendations on the treatment based on your current skin condition. Areas of the body and face that have acne scarring, discolouration, or wrinkles are ideal for this sort of treatment. The neck and face are two of the areas that we most commonly treat. We have also treated a lot of people in the abdominal area, as this treatment is beneficial in terms of tightening any skin that is loose because of underlying fatty tissue.

What are the benefits of Morpheus8 and what can it help with?

Safe on skin types up to, and including VI, with an extremely small risk of PHI, which is post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation – something that is very common in other resurfacing methods. There is little to no thermal damage to the dermis, it provides an extremely uniform effect and it is a safe and deep fractional treatment, which penetrates 4000 microns, with an added thermal profile of over 1000 microns.

Fractional microneedling and radiofrequency with Morpheus8 can help with discolourations, stretch marks, acne scarring, under eyes sagging skin and wrinkles, fine lines and wrinkles on areas like the neck, face and decolletage and sagging or loose skin of the body, neck, jawline and face.

Morpheus8 FAQs

What are the benefits of Morpheus8?

Fractional radiofrequncy is scientifically proven in tackling and reducing wrinkles, whilst rebuilding collagen. It is a minimally invasive treatment, renewing deep layers of the skin with manageable downtime.

What skin problems, on the face and body, can Morpheus 8 effectively treat?

Morpheus8 is effective to treat:

Will Morpheus8 be painful?

A topical anaesthetic is applied to your skin before the procedure to reduce the discomfort of the treatment.

What happens straight after the treatment?

As is the case with many different types of cosmetic treatment, you may experience some bruising, redness, or swelling. However, within a couple of days, these effects should disappear. Your skin also may feel a bit tight after the treatment.

How long does the treatment take?

The length of the treatment is going to depend on the area of the skin being treated. Nevertheless, the average treatment usually takes approximately 30 minutes.

When can I wear makeup again after the treatment?

One of the great things about this treatment is that the downtime for patients is minimal. Once you have had the treatment, you can apply makeup within one to two days. For a few days after the treatment, do not be concerned if you see micro lesions. This is normal. You may also notice a slight redness to your skin for around a week after you have had the treatment as well.

How long will it take for you to see results?

Within a few days of your treatment, you can expect to see results. You will then notice major improvements within the first three weeks.

Does Morpheus8 melt fat?

This device is unique, and one of the reasons for this is because it can penetrate as deeply as 4mm. Because of this, it can melt fat, which will enable you to truly transform and contour different parts of your body.

  • Avoid touching the treated area. If you do, ensure your hands are clean (especially over the first 2 days)
  • You can use ice packs or a cool compress/gel for the first day. This can help to reduce heat sensation, and can reduce swelling
  • Skin can be cleansed, but using a non–exfoliating cleanser. Dry pay with a clean towel
  • Apply SPF

What skin type can Morpheus8 treat?

One of the best benefits of Morpheus8, is that the technology can be used on all skin types; even darker tones can be treated.
