How Does the Procedure Work?
The SkinPen creates multiple microscopic punctures across the skin’s outer layers. As these punctures heal, the remodelling process works to improve the appearance of the skin while working to improve other skin concerns.

SkinPen Treatments Available at Omniya
Here at Omniya, we individually tailor our services to ensure you are receive the right treatment for you. During the procedure, we will examine the nature of your skin and consider your desired results before deciding on the depth of the needle.
We may use different depths on different parts of the face. However, these depths will always vary between 0.25mm and 1.5mm.
The treatment will begin with one of our practitioners cleansing your skin and applying a thin layer of numbing cream which will be removed after 20-30 minutes. A cooling HG gliding gel will be applied before starting the procedure, this helping to relieve any discomfort which you may feel. However, it is common to continue to experience a slight pinpricking sensation, especially on sensitive areas of the face.
How Long Do Results Take?
After the procedure, your skin will feel tight and dry. You may also notice slightly darker blood spots around the treated area. These side effects are completely normal. Redness is also very common, with the skin sometimes appearing sunburned. However, this should only last up to 1 week.
Peeling may also occur at any time during the first 3 days after treatment and can sometimes last up to 2 weeks. The procedure will still work effectively even if you do not suffer from any peeling.
The skin will appear smoother and tighter instantly. However, specific concerns such as scarring, fine lines and wrinkles will start to improve after 8 to 12 weeks.
We do recommend a course of 3 to 6 sessions of the SkinPen treatment to receive the long-lasting results that you wish for. This can be done 2,4 or 6 weeks apart depending on the depth and condition of the skin.
