      • Fantastic face rejuvenation treatments. Dr Thu Linh NGuyen is extremely professional, gentle and so patient ! I am so grateful for her advice and so happy with the results ! - Henriette

Omniya's Dr Tu Lin was recommended to me by a friend who has the most incredible skin and lips. Obviously, I had to try. She is such a caring doctor, and went out of her way. I've had lip fillers in the past with others, but now I've been to Omniya I doubt I need to go anywhere else. I love my new lips. Omniya Clinic is without fail the best place for lip fillers in London! Thank you! - Nora

I was having trouble with my acne for a while. I had been to a few clinics before Omniya but didn't get the results I wanted.

Omniya was recommended and had great reviews. I saw Kerry Lou, one of their skin specialist. She explained that with the right treatment and a little patience I would see results. I brought a course of facials. Each one is slightly different depending on what is needed. I'm very happy with the improvement. - Shayma

      • I have had a great experience with Omniya and Dr Roked. I started TRT at the ripe old age of 58 and I have never felt better. Who knew hormones could make such an impact on someones life! - Richard

I'm very impressed with this clinic. My experience from booking in with the reception team to being seen by one of their doctors has been phenomenal. I will definitely be recommending your services. Thank you Dr Roked for the level of care and how you've helped me so far. - Fred

If you are thinking of going on Hormone Replacement Therapy I would highly recommend Dr Sohere Roked. She is the best doctor I have ever met. She listens and understands her patients (I know because my 2 sisters also see her) Her approach is different to other doctors as she is a trained psychologist - She understands the balance between hormone therapy and mental health. She has honestly saved my life! - Meridith

      • Great experience overall. The hormone doctor is phenomenal and has helped me a great deal. I wont go into too much detail but she has helped me in all aspects of my life. I have more energy I'm sleeping better. They have amazing skin treatments too. I recently tried PRP dermapen and my skin looks and feels great. - Danilo

They only work with the best doctors. Thank you Omniya. - Adam

        Treatment Information

        What is a chemical peel?

This anti ageing treatment is a chemical exfoliation process, which will penetrate the deeper layers, so that the top layers begin to shred. The process will stimulate collagen, increasing cellular turnover, so you’re left with fresh, radiant skin. This treatment works best for people who are experiencing acne and scarring, discolouration, poor texture, and hyperpigmentation.

        What can it help with?

        • Enhance the look and feel of your skin and skin texture.
        • Reduce dark patches, freckles, or age spots.
        • Treat certain types of acne.
        • Improve the appearance of mild scars.
        • Treat wrinkles that have been caused by ageing and sun damage.
        • Reduce fine lines around the mouth and under the eyes.

What to expect from your treatment

A lot of people are nervous when having a treatment, but there really is no need to be. The process isn’t intimidating at all, and we will talk you through it so that you know exactly what to expect.

We will always start off with a consultation. This is important so that we can determine which one is going to be right for you. We will find out about your lifestyle habits, skin types and your goals, as well as assessing the current condition of your skin. A lighter, milder peel may be the best option for your first treatment, such as mandelic acid or lactic acid. However, we will talk you through all of the options suitable for your skin type, and come to a solution that works for you. The milder peels will still stimulate cellular turnover, resulting a glow you may want to achieve, yet they do so on a much milder level. The consultation will also give you the opportunity to ask any queries that you may have as well.

        The Procedure:

When you are ready to begin, we will prime your skin by using a pre-prep solution. You can also use a fan to help you with any sting or tingling sensation. We will then start to peel. This will take around 30 minutes, although this can differ from patient to patient. Once we are finished, we will apply a post-peel moisturiser and some sunscreen, and then you’re good to go.

For results, it will usually take between two and three weeks for you to see the full results. This is once your skin has healed. For deep or medium, it may take a bit longer. Sometimes it can take a few months before the results are evident, but your skin will look smoother, radiant, and vibrant.

        Different depths of chemical peels

As a number of different skin problems and skin types can be treated, there are a number of different depths that you can choose from. Generally, you can select between a superficial, medium, and deep chemical peel. So, let’s take a look at each one below:

This is sometimes referred to as superficial, which will remove the epidermis – the outer layer. This can be used for treating dryness, uneven skin-tone, acne, and fine wrinkles. You may be able to have this as regularly as every two to five weeks, depending on the results you’re looking to achieve, and skin-types.

This will remove skin cells from the epidermis, as well as portions from the upper part of the dermis, which is the skin’s middle layer. Medium depth can help uneven skin tone, acne scars, and wrinkles. In order to maintain results, you can repeat between every three and nine months.

These will remove skin cells from the epidermis, as well as the mid to lower layer of your dermis. If you have precancerous growths or deeper wrinkles, this may be the best solution for you.

        Chemical peels for scars

If you have scars on your skin, whether from acne or something else, this could be the perfect treatment solution for you. This treatment can enhance the appearance of mild scars through the use of a chemical solution to get rid of the outer layer of old skin. The skin that replaces it will be less irregular in appearance and a lot smoother too.

Is this treatment right for you?

You may not be able to have this anti ageing treatment if you have:

        • A history of severe or frequent outbreaks of cold sores.
        • Abnormal skin pigmentation.
        • Personal history of ridged areas caused by keloids.
        • Taken acne medication isotretinoin in the past six months.

Generally, light-haired and fair-skinned patients are better candidates. However, don’t let this put you off if you have darker skin. Depending on the concern, you can still have good results. We will talk you through all of your options.

If you’re experiencing severe wrinkles, bulges, and skin sags, we may recommend a different type of treatment, such as soft tissue filler or laser resurfacing. We will help you to determine which is going to be most appropriate for you.

If you are unsure as to whether or not you are the right candidate, all you need to do is give our friendly and experienced team a call and they would be more than happy to help you.

How to prepare for your treatment

Before starting, one of our experienced practitioners will conduct a physical exam and review your medical history. There are a number of things that you can do as well. This includes the following:

        • Determine whether or not you are going to have someone drive you home after the treatment.
        • Stay away from medications such as glycolic acid, Renova, and Retin-A.
        • Avoid any supplements or medications that can impact blood clotting for ten days before your surgery. Examples include vitamin E, ibuprofen, or aspirin.
        • Reveal any history of persistent cold sores or scarring.
        • Discuss your treatment goals and ageing skin condition in order to determine the right depth for you.

        What to expect afterwards

You may experience a reaction that is similar to having sunburn. This is what most of our patients describe the experience like. You may encounter the following:

        • Bandages over the treated area for a few days.
        • Blisters that will crust, turn brown, and then peel off within a week to two weeks if you have had deep or medium.
        • Swelling.
        • Redness, which is then followed by scaling for the first three to seven days.
        • You should avoid the sun for a few weeks to months afterwards, which your specialists will advise you on.

How often should you have it?

This depends on the type of peel you have. Deep, for example, you will need to wait a bit longer for your next one than if you were to have a superficial. A lot of our patients tend to have a treatment once every four to six weeks. However, we do have some patients who suffer from acne and have one every fortnight until they end up with their desired result. It really does differ from person to person. This is why the consultation phase is so important.

The number of treatments required will depend on the skin condition that is being treated. Multiple peels are needed for acne or sun damage. You ought to see improvement after every visit yet most patients require around six to see the complete effect.

        Chemical Skin Peels FAQ’s

The treated area will take between one and two weeks to heal after you have had a medium chemical peel.

We recommend that our patients do not use any acne-fighting products or retinoids for at least five days prior to their visit. These sort of products are only going to increase the chance of experiencing a burn. The key here is skin rejuvenation; therefore, we don’t want the skin to be damaged further, and so there really is no need to continue with those products.

A lot of people try to speed up the peeling process once it begins. You shouldn’t do this. Forcing the process is not recommended. This is how you end up with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Accordingly, use a gentle and mild cleanser and gently massage your face with it, simply using your hands. If you were to use a washcloth, you would be wiping the dead skin away prematurely, and that’s not the goal here. Forcing the process won’t give you the results you’re looking for.

No, you don’t have to stay locked at home! If you have a stronger peel, such as a glycolic acid one, it will begin to peel around two days later. The skin can then shed for anywhere from three to five days. During this time, it is really important to keep your skin hydrated with sunscreen and a gentle moisturiser, as well as limiting your exposure to the sun.

You may feel a bit of a burning sensation during the treatment. This will only last between five and ten minutes. It can sometimes be followed by a stinging sensation. This can be eased by putting a cool compress on the skin. Most people report discomfort from the procedure, rather than pain.

It is not essential to see visible peeling. Whether or not this occurs, you will notice improvements in the tone, texture, and overall appearance of your skin. If you are having the treatment on a frequent basis, you may not see it visibly because the layers of dead skin cells are now at a healthy number; and peels are intended to remove this external layer of dead skin cells.

You can have a facial at almost any time, subject to a consultation with one of our friendly therapists!

We have some incredible specialists, who will be happy to discuss skincare options with you. They can also guide you on which skincare is appropriate after your treatment, and also advise on a sensible skincare regime for the months ahead.

Glycolic acid will help freshen up dull, tired or worn out skin, which exfoliate and resurface. A glycolic peel is generally suitable for all skintypes, but a consultation is always required before a treatment, including glycolic.
