With a combined experience of 30 years in health, wellbeing and nutrition, our nutritional experts work with clients to create practical and functional, bespoke nutritional solutions.
No single diet suits any one of us, all of the time. Nutritional requirements are determined by gender, internal and external factors, age, sex, race and circumstances, including stress.
Nutritional Medicine (Functional Medicine) is the evidence-based study of the relationship between food and a healthy body. It is the science of nutrients and involves functional testing to look for imbalances in the body. Using nutrition and supplements it treats the causes of imbalances and deficiencies which can lead to, amongst others:
Your practitioner will work closely with you to understand your situation and design a custom-made nutrition programme that is not only designed with your specific goals in mind, but is also realistic. We recognise bio-individuality and incorporate your attitudes, preferences, social, spiritual and psychological status into your treatment plan, in order to produce the most effective plan possible. We believe that no food is essentially healthy or unhealthy. Foods either meet your requirements, or they do not. Our Nutritional Therapist’s task is to ensure our clients have the nutrition they require, in the amounts they require, and in a form they are able and willing to take.
Once a functional diagnosis is made, you will be offered a treatment which is likely to include a dietary plan, lifestyle guidance and, where appropriate, a dietary supplement schedule and recipes. A full range of therapeutic supplements from the UK’s leading manufacturers will be provided, whilst you receive ongoing support until you reach your health or performance goals.
After booking your first consultation, you will receive a consultation pack, which we will ask you to complete prior to your first visit. Our Nutritional Therapist will then be able to discuss your symptoms and address any questions you may have regarding your treatment. We will also be able to conduct blood tests on the day and arrange further investigations with our affiliated laboratories.
Following an Initial Consultation, our Nutritional Therapist will then be able to provide you with an in-depth understanding of the effects your diet is having on your health and lifestyle.
