PRP Facial “The Vampire Facial”

at Omniya Clinic in London

At Omniya Clinic, we specialise in the advanced fields of aesthetic and regenerative medicine, offering PRP therapy as an important option for skin and hair rejuvenation. PRP, or Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy, often referred to in the media as the “vampire facial,” utilises the body’s own healing mechanisms to improve skin health, promote hair growth, and aid in the recovery from injuries using the natural components found in your own blood.

Our PRP treatments are carefully designed to leverage the healing properties of platelets and growth factors. By concentrating these elements and reintroducing them into targeted areas, we aim to address a variety of needs. Whether you’re looking to reduce signs of aging, improve the texture and tone of your skin, or encourage hair regrowth, PRP therapy provides a customised approach. Through stimulating collagen production and supporting cellular repair, our PRP treatments not only target aesthetic issues but also enhance the overall health and condition of your skin.

What is PRP therapy?

PRP therapy has been endorsed by experts and numerous celebrities and athletes. It’s an exciting, non-surgical and natural treatment that uses your own healing abilities to stimulate collagen production in the skin. In the media, the treatments have been coined as the vampire facial because of the use of blood.

The production of collagen-induced by PRP, brightens, rehydrates and rejuvenates after the first treatment, although a course is normally recommended. The procedure overall improves the general health of your skin.

PRP therapy has efficiently been used in neurosurgery, oral surgery, cosmetic and plastic surgery, orthopaedics and sports medicine, treating people for various conditions. The treatment has little to no side effects and involves little to no pain.

What areas can be treated with PRP?

PRP has a variety of uses in the medical field. It’s used in both dermatological and aesthetic practices for facial and neck rejuvenation, lines and wrinkles as well as stretch marks and scars.

PRP therapy’s efficacy in skin rejuvenation is rooted in its utilisation of the body’s own biological materials. By concentrating platelets and growth factors from the patient’s blood and re-administering them to targeted areas of the skin, PRP therapy stimulates a cascade of regenerative processes. Medical research supports that the growth factors released by platelets play a pivotal role in tissue repair and regeneration. These factors are instrumental in initiating and accelerating the skin’s repair process, significantly boosting collagen synthesis, and fostering the development of new capillaries. The result is a notable improvement in skin texture and tone, with a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and even scars.

At Ominiya, we offer PRP in our London clinic to treat:

FACE – As an effective treatment to restore your skin’s youthful appearance including: crow’s feet, frown lines and loose skin.

BODY – By stimulating and accelerating your natural healing process, the skin is rejuvenated and renewed for stretch marks, cellulite and scarring (after injuries, new or old).

SCALP – Promotes new growth, to help give you fuller and thicker hair for hair rejuvenation.

What are the benefits of PRP treatment?

PRP is a fantastic cosmetic treatment for naturally rejuvenating the skin, and repairing the effects of ageing. It provides total skin rejuvenation, treats delicate or difficult to reach areas, it’s natural and it’s safe.

PRP treatment covers the following concerns:

  • Lines and wrinkles

PRP treatment FAQs

What is the treatment like?

PRP is a by-product of blood (plasma), and is rich in platelets.

Your clinician will draw a small amount of your blood, separate the red blood cells from the platelet rich plasma containing growth factors, using a centrifuge. The plasma is then re-injected into treatment area, either like mesotherapy with multiple micro injections, or directly into areas, like a filler to combat lines and wrinkles.

It should be no more painful than other injectable treatments – but to help your comfort, a local (topical) anaesthetic can be applied to numb the area beforehand.

We can also combine the PRP treatment with medical microneedling, to enhance the results.

What can PRP do for me?

We have found platelet rich plasma to be an effective treatment for the skin – improving texture and helping to repair sun damage. Following your treatment, we expect your skin to be be more hydrated, nourished, firmer with improved texture.

Does PRP hurt?

No, it ought not to hurt, but it may tingle. We can apply topical anaesthetic cream if needed, which will numb the area.

How many treatments and how often is it needed?

Responses to PRP vary, but most people will require 2-4 sessions, spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart. There is no limit to the number of treatments you can have. You practitioner will advise the number of treatments for your area and concern.

What can I expect from PRP treatments?

Improvement of skin texture and tone is noticeable within 3 weeks.
Full collagen regeneration takes up to 3 months.
Reduction in hair loss is noticeable within 8 weeks.
Complete hair re-growth is seen 3-6 months after the last treatment.

Are there possible side effects of PRP?

You may experience minimal swelling or redness for up to 24 hours.

How long do results last for PRP?

Treatment results vary, however, in most patients the results last up to 24 months. Touch-up treatments (every 3-6 months) will maintain the results.

Who will perform my PRP treatment?

One of our qualified and experienced doctors or nurses perform PRP in our London Clinic.

Can PRP be used to treat sports related concerns?

Absolutely, if there has been an injury due to a sport you will find that together with home care PRP can help reduce and improve the long term appearance if any scarring or pigmentation.

What is the difference between a vampire facial and a vampire facelift?

A vampire facial involves microneedling followed by the application of PRP to the skin, while a vampire facelift combines PRP injections with dermal fillers to lift and volumise the face.

Why is PRP considered a natural treatment option?

PRP is considered a natural treatment option because it uses the patient’s own biological material (blood) to stimulate healing and rejuvenation, without the addition of foreign substances.

What makes PRP therapy in London different at your clinic?

At Omniya, we utilise advanced PRP processing techniques and customised treatment plans, ensuring the highest concentration of growth factors and a tailored approach to meet each patient’s specific needs and goals.
