Currently, the only way to confirm low, or reduced testosterone levels is by carrying out blood tests. These tests will typically include (but is not limited to) Testosterone (primary male sex hormone), Free Testosterone, DHEA Sulphate, FSH, Full Blood Count, SHBG, Vitamin D, and PSA. The exact blood tests to be performed will be based on a variety of factors, including your consultation, age and symptoms.
This is a simple but crucial process, as tests will be performed to manage and maintain your health and see if your quality for TRT. It’s important that these tests are carried out at the appropriate time of day and if you’re taking medication this must be discussed with your TRT doctor.
