Profile: Dr Dilan Fernando

Dr Dilan Fernando graduated from King’s College London with a degree in Medicine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience & Neuropsychology. He trained as a Surgeon in the NHS and honed his surgical skills into the practice of Hair Transplantation.

Dr Fernando has a specialist interest in Follicular Unit Excision (FUE) and is now a recognised key opinion leader in this field. He is currently occupying a senior position as an Executive Committee member in the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery (BAHRS), underlying his commitment to advancing high professional and ethical standards of surgery.

Dr Fernando is known for his engaging, personalised hair loss consultations. He takes pride in exploring each individual’s hair loss journey and coming to a holistic management plan suited to a patient. He balances a careful understanding of past, present and future hair loss to predict which treatment and hair transplant is best suited to his patients.

He ensures his patients achieve a natural hair transplant that lasts a lifetime. Having treated a number of high-profile patients from London and International locations, he has experience and understanding around issues patients have such as secrecy and downtime. By performing unshaven Follicular Unit Excision (U-FUE), he is able to reassure most of his patients that they can get back to work within 7 to 14 days with minimal signs of surgery.
