Excess Skin

At Omniya Clinic in London

After extreme weight loss it’s common to have excess skin in the form of heavy folds, especially around the lower abdomen. As a result, many women opt for a ‘tummy tuck’ operation (the medical term being abdominoplasty). However, it’s not just the stomach that’s affected after weight loss. There can also be excess skin on the chin, neck, arms and loose breast tissue.

Ageing can also cause excess skin as it loosens and the collagen becomes more elastic. A common – and visible – area for skin slackening off is around the jaw line and/or the neck area. One of the most recently-developed non-surgical methods to treat this is using High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU). This is where ultrasonic waves heat the skin’s tissue and in doing so encourages the layers to burn fat and tighten. It also stimulates collagen production.

FACEtite has a proven success rate, particularly when combined with Morpheus8. FACEtite is particularly effective for neck fat when used in conjunction with liposuction.
