How Does Botox Work?
In order for a muscle to move, a neurotransmitter needs to signal that muscle to move, and a nerve will release this signal therefore Botox relaxes your muscles to flatten out wrinkles.
Botox inhibits the muscle from moving by depleting that neurotransmitter.
Preventing your muscles from moving reduces the wrinkles created by certain facial expressions.
How Much Botox Do You Need?
What defines the amount of Botox required is the strength of the muscle around the area that needs treating.
