Botox ®

at Omniya Clinic in London

Botox ® Injections are used to treat wrinkles and fine lines. They have been used within the cosmetic industry for over 20 years. A natural, purified protein temporarily relaxes the facial muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles. It can also be used to treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).

As an unregulated industry in the UK, it is imperative that you choose the right clinic and practitioner. A large number of clinics are offering Botox ® Injections and Dermal Fillers at low prices, and we encourage you to think twice before opting for a clinic with a negligible reputation. The practitioner and product choice is crucial when making your decision.

Anti Wrinkle Injections can treat a variety of areas, such as:

Forehead (Horizontal Lines) The forehead is one of the most common treatment areas, displaying as it does, signs of ageing through the lines we use when expressing emotions. When the lines do not disappear – even when the face is relaxed, Botox® injections can help. Glabella (Frown Lines) The Glabella is the area between your brows. Over time, a deep and prominent line may appear. Botox® injections can relax the muscle, to reduce the overworking of the area. They can also reduce the appearance of the existing lines. Brow Botox® injections can be used to lift the brow area via administration in key areas, relaxing the muscles used when you frown and lifting the weight that we naturally push down.

Nose When smiling, lines form on the bridge of the nose near the tear duct of the eye. Jawline A slimmer, heart shaped jaw can be created using Botox® injections, streamlining the area. Botox® injection treatments are effective for reducing fine lines and wrinkles, crow’s feet, frown lines, teeth grinding (bruxism) and excessive sweating, with the most common benefits:

  • Reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines
  • Non-surgical procedure
  • Limited number of treatments required (usually one treatment)
  • Results lasting up to 6 months

As a non-surgical and minimally invasive treatment, you are likely to see results immediately. There may be slight swelling or tenderness for up to approximately 3 days. Optimum results are visible after 10 days.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Am I suitable for Botox ® injections?

Your medical history will be discussed during your initial consultation, where before and after photographs will be taken. Your practitioner will assess and discuss which areas are most appropriate to treat. Your treatment will be explained in depth at the consultation and we will only proceed, with your consent, once we are confident we can meet your expectations. In general, anti wrinkle injections can be used on a wide range of clients, primarily for skin rejuvenation and the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. Please notify your practitioner if you have medical conditions that can affect safety, such as damaged nerves or muscle complaints. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please let your practitioner know. Whilst there are no clinical studies to determine whether this may cause harm, we have a policy not to treat pregnant clients, or those who are breastfeeding.

What does the Botox treatment involve?

Following your consultation, your practitioner will analyse your face and administer Botox ® injections directly into the muscle that causes wrinkles.

    Does the Botox treatment hurt?

Most tolerate the pain well. At Omniya, we use super fine needles to minimise any discomfort.

  • Who will perform the Botox treatment?

The most important aspect of your treatment, in conjunction with the products, is the practitioner carrying out your treatment. At Omniya, we only work with medically trained, experienced and skilled medical practitioners.

How will I look after my Botox treatment?

The skin may be red immediately after the treatment, but should settle within the hour. Full results are expected after approximately 7 days. We ask our clients to attend a follow up appointment 2 weeks after the treatment to ensure the best possible results have been achieved.

What do I do after the Botox treatment?

We suggest that you avoid strenuous activities that may increase your blood pressure for at least 24 hours.

Is there any downtime for my Botox treatment?

The treated area may show signs of bruising. This should subside after a few days. We encourage you to contact us if you experience symptoms and require further assistance. For many clients, we provide Arnica cream and tablets to reduce the impact. Headaches and flu-like symptoms after the first treatment have been reported in some cases, and a heavy feeling in the shoulders 1-2 days after the treatment.

  • Are Botox ® injections safe?

All non-invasive procedures carry a small amount of risk, which is why we only administer them after a face to face consultation, during which a full assessment will be carried out and detailed cautions and contradictions will be discussed. However, by nature, Botox ® injections are a safe procedure and a leading option to combat wrinkles. Please ask your practitioner for more information.

What are the risks of Botox?

The risks are minimal compared to invasive surgical treatments which require cosmetic or plastic surgery. However, it is not uncommon to experience minor side effects as Botox ® injections are injection based treatments that pierce the facial skin directly.

What are the side effects of Botox?

A side effect can be very light bruising. Lasting up to three days, this bruising process simply occurs as healthy bloodstream works to instantly treat the broken skin tissue and live wound. The process is induced via the needle entering the injecting point. This is temporary and lasts normally anything from 3 days, up to a week. It should be noted that other interference issues may also provoke bruising, including medications, lifestyle and alcohol. Swelling and redness may also appear. Normally the side effects only last a few days.

Are Botox ® injections the only option for me?

During your consultation, please discuss your options with your practitioner, who will advise on the best and alternative options for your goals.
